Security Alert Update: 'Suspicious Shadow' Just Larry from Accounting's New Hat
Updated: Oct 1, 2023

When I signed up to work at The Org, I expected the unexpected. Over-the-top security protocols, dramatic showdowns, the occasional need to scramble for cover. But what happened yesterday? I think it's safe to say none of us saw that coming.
It started like any other day. I was down in the west wing, minding my own villainous business, when suddenly, alarms blared, red lights flashed, and the entire lair went into full lockdown. The cause? A "suspicious shadow." Now, I've been around the block a few times, and I've seen my fair share of dubious shadows, but this one seemed... different.
After three hours of sheer chaos and more than one colleague getting trapped in their own booby-trap (I'm looking at you, Dave), the source of the shadow was finally identified. And, believe it or not, it was none other than Larry from Accounting's new hat.
You might know Larry. He's the guy who sends those reminders about expense reports. Not someone you'd typically associate with a major security breach. But his latest fashion accessory, a ridiculously oversized hat he picked up on vacation, turned out to be the villain of the day. The hat's enormous brim cast a shadow so menacing it could've come straight out of a spy thriller.
I've got to hand it to our team; everyone jumped into action. Documents were shredded, secret passageways sealed off, and I'm pretty sure someone released the mutant crocodiles from their enclosure. All because of a hat.
To ensure such a fashionable fiasco doesn't happen again, management has updated our dress code: no more oversized headwear. And honestly? I'm all for it. I mean, I love a statement piece as much as the next henchperson, but safety first, right?
In the aftermath of "Hat-gate," Larry's decided to donate his infamous accessory to The Org's museum. So, next time you're passing by, take a moment to check it out. It's a reminder that in our line of work, danger can lurk in the most unexpected places. Or, in this case, on top of someone's head.
Until next time, stay stylish and always double-check your shadows.
