A man was recently mistaken for flashing a rival gang sign after cracking his knuckles in a public park. The incident, which occurred on a sunny afternoon, has sparked controversy and confusion among local residents.

Eyewitnesses report that the man, identified only as "Mike," was sitting on a bench in the park when he suddenly cracked his knuckles. Immediately, a nearby group of teenagers started yelling and pointing, mistaking his knuckle cracking for a rival gang sign.

"I couldn't believe it," said Mike, still shaking his head in disbelief. "I was just cracking my knuckles. I wasn't trying to start anything."

The misunderstanding quickly escalated, with the teenagers approaching Mike and demanding to know which gang he was affiliated with. Mike tried to explain that he wasn't in a gang and that he was simply cracking his knuckles, but his words fell on deaf ears.

"They wouldn't listen," he said. "They were convinced that I was flashing a gang sign and that I was their rival. I tried to show them my knuckles to prove that I wasn't doing anything, but they just got angrier."

Eventually, a park ranger arrived on the scene and was able to diffuse the situation, but not before Mike was roughed up a bit by the teenagers.

"I didn't know that cracking your knuckles was a gang sign," said the ranger, who declined to give his name. "But I guess you learn something new every day."

The incident has sparked a debate on social media, with many users sharing their own stories of mistaken identity and gang-related misunderstandings. Some have even started cracking their knuckles as a show of solidarity with Mike.

"I crack my knuckles all the time," said one user. "I guess I better be careful where I do it from now on."

As for Mike, he says he's just glad the incident is over and that he's okay. "I never thought something as innocent as cracking my knuckles could cause so much trouble," he said. "I'll definitely think twice before doing it in public again."
