In a shocking turn of events, men across the country are in an uproar over the length of sensual mood music, claiming that it's just too darn long.
"It's ridiculous," says Steve Johnson, a 34-year-old from Denver. "I mean, who has time for all that? Three minutes of sensual mood music? That's like running a marathon!"
Johnson isn't alone in his frustration. Many men are finding themselves unable to keep up with the lengthy musical interludes that accompany their romantic encounters.
"I used to think longer was better," says Mark Davis, a 41-year-old from New York City. "But now I'm realizing that three minutes is just too much. I mean, it's not like we're trying to set a new world record here."
Experts speculate that the trend towards longer sensual mood music may have started as a way to set the mood, but has now spiraled out of control.
"It's a classic case of 'too much of a good thing,'" says Dr. Jane Smith, a psychologist who specializes in relationship counseling. "What started out as a way to enhance intimacy has turned into a source of frustration for many men."
As for solutions, some men are calling for shorter, more streamlined sensual mood music tracks. Others are suggesting skipping the music altogether and just getting down to business.
"I think we can all agree that three minutes is just too long," says Johnson. "Let's get back to basics and focus on what really matters."
